Around the world, Parkinson’s Disease (PD) has affected around 6.3 million people

Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year, and this number does not reflect the thousands of cases that go undetected.

It is caused by a combination of genetic, environmental and ageing factors

Incidence of Parkinson’s increases with age, but an estimated four percent of people with PD are diagnosed before the age of 50.

Men are one and a half times more likely to have Parkinson's than women

The 3 main symptons of parkinson’s are: tremor, muscle stiffness and slowness of movement. But not everyone will experience all of these

Most people who get Parkinson's disease are aged 50 or over but younger people can get it too.
